The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has intensified its campaign against corruption, touting, and passenger exploitation with the rollout of _Operation Air Clean_, an initiative led by the Managing Director/Chief Executive, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku.

The program was unveiled during a stakeholder engagement organized by the General Manager, Customer Service, Mrs. Monica Alphonse, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos.

Key stakeholders present at the meeting included representatives from the Nigeria Customs Service, Immigration, the Nigerian Air Force, airline operators, Aviation Security, AVSEC, and airport concessionaires.

Speaking at the engagement, FAAN officials emphasized the need for stronger collaboration among agencies to rid airport terminals of unethical practices that affect travelers. They also stressed the importance of educating passengers about their rights and ensuring improved service delivery across all airport facilities.

_Operation Air Clean_ is expected to focus on clamping down on touts, illegal charges, and other forms of harassment faced by passengers, while promoting professionalism and accountability among airport workers and service providers.

FAAN said the initiative aligns with its broader mandate to make Nigerian airports safer, cleaner, and more passenger-friendly in line with global best practices.

The authority called on all stakeholders to support the campaign to restore public confidence in airport operations.
