Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has pleaded guilty to hosting a birthday party on Saturday in violation of a lockdown imposed to tackle coronavirus spread in Lagos State.
The movie star appeared before a Chief Magistrates Court in Ogba, Lagos, alongside her husband JJC Skillz on Monday.
Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, had revealed that Funke and her husband were arraigned for breaching the Lagos Infection Diseases Regulations 2020 (the Regulations.
The actress would likely receive a jail term of one month or N100,000 fine or both for for hosting gatherings or flouting the lockdown order.
Funke was arrested on Sunday for organising the party even though she had earlier apologised for her actions.
Other guests at the party including fellow actress, Eniola Badmus and singer, Naira Marley were also advised to report to surrender themselves to the police.
