Africa: Port Harcourt Airport opened to International Flights by Nigerian Aviation Agency, Enugu dates to be announced soon

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has given the nod for the resumption of international flight operation at the Port Harcourt Airport.

The airport had been closed to international operations to enable the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 to carry out effective coordination of inbound passengers into the country in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to a release by the nation’s aviation regulatory body, it said: “Following the announcement by the Presidential Steering Committee(PSC) on COVID-19 on the staggered resumption of flights on the above airports, we wish to inform the industry of the following:

“International flights will resume at Port Harcourt International Airport (DHPO) with immediate effect.”

The NCAA, said the resumption of flight operations at the Akanu Ibiam Airport (DNEN) will be announced in due time.
