Conservation Partnership

Rwanda Development Board Chief Tourism Officer Irène Murerwa on Tuesday received a Zambian delegation led by Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet for Finance and Economic Development Siazongo Siakalenge during an official visit focused on strengthening cooperation in conservation and tourism.

The meeting brought together officials from both countries to explore opportunities for collaboration in wildlife management, tourism development, and investment promotion. Discussions centred on sharing best practices, expanding sustainable tourism initiatives, and deepening partnerships that can boost economic growth through the travel and conservation sectors.

Officials said the engagement reflects growing efforts by African countries to work more closely in protecting natural heritage while unlocking the economic potential of tourism.
