The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, in partnership with the Gambia Tourism Board (GTBoard), has launched the Nordic Stakeholders Roadshow in Copenhagen, Denmark, to attract more tourists from the Scandinavian market. The engagement, held on October 12, 2026, brought together tour operators, travel agents and key Gambian tourism stakeholders to explore opportunities for strengthening tourism ties.
The roadshow showcased The Gambia’s tourism offerings, including its beautiful beaches, rich cultural heritage, eco-tourism attractions and air connectivity.
The initiative aimed to increase awareness of the destination among Nordic travel professionals while creating opportunities for new business partnerships between Gambian tourism stakeholders and their Scandinavian counterparts.
Through the initiative, The Gambia seeks to strengthen its position as a year-round holiday destination and diversify its international visitor markets. The engagement also reflects the country’s efforts to expand its tourism reach, improve international cooperation and encourage more visitors from Scandinavia to experience its attractions.
