Africa: Tourism Ethiopia, OZZIE Business & Hospitality Group signs MOU to strengthen, Rebuild sector in Ethiopia

Tourism Ethiopia, a Government Tourism arm has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation with OZZIE Business & Hospitality Group, One of the Leading Hospitality & Tourism Consultancy firm based in Ethiopia in order to strengthen and rebuilding the Tourism sector.

According to a press release by OZZIE Business & Hospitality Group, such cooperation of partnership will exploit crucial step to formulate private-public bondage.

Leaders of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Tourism Ethiopia, the Ministry of Urban Development and Construction, the Addis Ababa Investment Commission and Ethiopian Airlines, as well as the Ethiopian Culture and Tourism Journalists Association attended the Ceremony.

Speaking at the Signing Ceremony, State Minister of Finance, Dr. Eyob Tekalign, said the Country has not utilized the tourism sector and the area is now a pillar and priority of the country economy.

Mr Sileshi Girma, Director General of Tourism Ethiopia, on his part said his government has started developing tourism destinations, saying that the tourism sector will bring economic growth and development to the country.

He added Entoto, Sheger and Unity Parks in Addis Ababa have been completed with high quality role Model Projects in a short period of duration.

The CEO of OZZIE Business and Hospitality, Mr. Kumneger Teketel asserted that action and taking initiative on such critical juncture is expected and responsibility of all stakeholders in rebuilding the tourism sector.
