Chief Executive Officer, Tourism is Life Tours, Sierra Leone, Alieya Alie Kargbo, is a tourism executive, policy advocate, and entrepreneur dedicated to sustainable tourism development across Sierra Leone and West Africa.
With a career bridging public administration, international development, and private sector leadership, he brings strategic oversight, regulatory expertise, and operational experience to every role.
He serves as Interim President of the National Tourism Federation of Sierra Leone, providing transitional leadership, steering policy direction, stakeholder coordination, and strategic advocacy for industry growth.
As President of the Sierra Leone Tour Operators Association (SLTOA) , he leads the national association, setting professional standards and representing the sector in policy dialogues.

He is Vice President of the West Africa Tour Guide Association (WATGA) , championing professionalization and recognition of tour guides across the region.
As Team Lead for Cruise West Africa—a consortium of port authorities, tourism boards, and destination management companies spanning ten West African nations—he coordinates efforts to develop cruise tourism as an economic driver.
Alieya is Travel Director & Proprietor of Tourism Is Life Tours, operating in Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea. He founded this tour company to showcase the region’s attractions, designing immersive experiences with high service standards.
His prior experience as a Cooperative Agreement Specialist at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) involved managing federal grants, budget oversight, and compliance monitoring—skills he applies to building tourism partnerships.
He holds a dual MBA/MPA from Columbia Southern University and a BSc (Honours) from the University of Sierra Leone (IPAM).
