Uzamat has shown adequate philanthropy with the donation of empowerment kits and cash to over 100 start-up businesses, as well as educational materials that include text books, exercise books and school bags to 12 schools in her LCDA. She has equally undertaken volunteer infrastructural developmental projects as road grading, rehabilitation of public water projects and culvert construction within the LCDA.

As a human rights campaigner, she has ensured stringent enforcement of the Lagos State Child Safeguarding Policy while ensuring that violators of law faced the full wrath of the law.

In 2019, Uzamat was appointed the Honorable Commissioner for Home Affairs by Governor Sanwo-Olu until her recent redeployment to the Ministry of Tourism in January 2020 where she is presently serving.

The reason for creating the Ministry of Tourism is to showcase the rich heritage, diverse lifestyle and entertainment to promote Lagos mega city as a destination of choice. This is her focus.

“Lagos is a city with numerous potentials and various places of attraction. Our intention is, as ably supported by the Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to project her further as a distinct tourist destination even to the global market.

With places like the National Museum, Lekki Conservation Centre, the Badagry Black Heritage Museum, Ikoyi Golf Club, Nike Art Gallery & Culture Centre, Freedom Park, National Arts Theatre, Terra Kulture, private and public beaches to mention a few, our rich heritage among others, I affirm that indeed, Lagos state is not only the centre of excellence, but the home of rich culture, heritage and your destination of preference.
