One of West Africa’s leading airline, Air Cote D’Ivoire is poised to deepen its operation on the Abidjan-Accra route as it increases its schedule to 11 flights per week.
According to the airline, it is also increasing its flight frequencies to several destinations in West and Central Africa in order to ensure that it broadens it reach along the West Coast.
The airline said effective April 1st, 2017, it will increase it flight frequencies to Dakar to 14 flights per week, operating two flights per day.
The airline stated that it will operate 11 flights per week to Cotonou, Libreville, Accra and Lome.
Air Cote D’Ivoire also revealed that it will also increase it frequencies to Bamako to 10 flights per week and 9 flights per week to Conakry, the Guinean capital.
It said it will operate 7 flights per week to Brazzaville, Ougadougou, Niamey and Monrovia.
Air Côte d’Ivoire according to atqnews.com, earlier placed an order with Airbus for three A320neos and two A320s, the Ivorian national airline becoming the first African airline to order the A320neo.
CEO, René Décurey, explained that this demonstrated the airline’s commitment to accelerate its growth in western and central Africa, which has already resulted in it tripling passenger numbers over the past three years.
The airline’s fleet now comprises four A319s, one A320 and four leased Bombardier Q400s. The first A320neo is scheduled for delivery in July 2017.
