CHINET Aviacargo Conference

The Registrar of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), Mr. Igwe Kingsley O., has been confirmed as a speaker at the 5th CHINET Aviacargo Conference, scheduled to take place on 16th September 2025 at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.

This year’s conference will focus on the theme: “How e-Commerce is Shaping the Future of Logistics in Africa.” Mr. Igwe will deliver a paper on the topic: “Standardizing Freight Forwarding to Meet Global Standards.”

With his extensive experience and leadership in freight forwarding and logistics regulation, Mr. Igwe’s presentation will provide stakeholders with strategic insights into how standardization can enhance efficiency, strengthen compliance, and position Nigeria’s cargo industry competitively on the global stage.

Freight forwarding remains a critical link in Nigeria’s cargo value chain, and the call for global standardization is timely. For airlines and logistics firms operating in Nigeria, aligning with international best practices will not only boost cargo throughput and operational efficiency but also strengthen Nigeria’s role as a hub for regional and international trade. In turn, this will have far-reaching economic benefits, from job creation to increased foreign exchange earnings.

The CHINET Aviacargo Conference has, over the years, established itself as the premier platform for the aviation and cargo ecosystem in West Africa. This year’s edition will be held alongside the 21st Akwaaba African Travel Market, the region’s largest tourism and travel fair, which attracts over 3,000 participants from across Africa and beyond.

The event will feature participation from:

  • Airlines and cargo operators
  • Logistics and freight companies
  • Top insurance executives
  • Hotels and tourism operators
  • Relevant government agencies
  • Diplomatic representatives from various countries

Together, these stakeholders will explore innovative strategies to strengthen aviation, cargo, tourism, and logistics across Africa.
