Ethiopian Airlines has officially inaugurated its new passenger service to Mauritius, marking another milestone in the carrier’s continued expansion across Africa and reinforcing connectivity between East Africa and the Indian Ocean island nation.

According to a statement by the airline, the new route, which commences operations today, 12 July 2026, will be operated three times weekly, enhancing connectivity between Mauritius and Ethiopian Airlines’ extensive global network. The launch of the service underscores Ethiopian Airlines’ commitment to strengthening air transport links within Africa and facilitating seamless travel between the continent and the rest of the world. By connecting Mauritius to Addis Ababa, the airline’s strategic hub, travelers will benefit from convenient access to destinations across Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas.
