Congo Airways’ present fleet of two Airbus A320 and two Bombardier Q400NextGen will be boosted when four more aircraft, wet leased from Ethiopian Airlines, will arrive in Kinshasa. The duration of the lease is unknown at this time.

The additional two aircraft, two Boeing B738’s and two Bombardier Q400’s will be deployed on a number of additional domestic routes and for regional services into Western Africa but also for planned new destinations in Eastern and Southern Africa.

The airline will, when the new planes have entered service, be serving some 15 domestic destinations including Goma, Kisangani and Lubumbashi.

No information was available at the time of filing this article which additional regional / continental destinations are to join the airline’s network.
