Emily and indeed the whole of Zimbabwe have to wait until Friday for the verdict of the Miss Zimbabwe Trust committee on the alleged leaked nude pictures.
The reigning Miss Zimbabwe was exposed by H-metro yesterday. The tabloid did a story that indecent pictures of the beauty had been leaked onto social media platforms by a Harare Dealer who is apparently in the habit of dating models and showing off clips and footage of him ravishing the girls in his bed to his dealer friends.
Miss Zimbabwe Trust Communications and Information director Tendai Chirau, told a press conference yesterday that they had just found out about the pictures from the press but added that they will conduct their own investigations.
“As a Trust when we hear of such information coming from the media we appreciate and celebrate because we do believe that you (sic) are our partners. But what we have to do as a Trust is sit down and look at the allegations and also investigate further then we can come up with a position,” he said.
Chirau also said that the Trust had amended their rules regarding succession which means if found guilty, the first Princess Ann-Grace Mutambu will automatically assume the throne.
He also disclosed that as a regulation all models who participated had signed a declaration form which rules made it clear that nude pictures where grounds for disqualification.
A section of regulation 5 reads; “Posing in the nude, professionally and/or socially in all forms of media, being in a relationship, sexual advances towards anyone or any behavior categorized as immoral by the Miss Zimbabwe Trust is ground for instant disqualification and/or dethronement..”
Now Emily was quoted by H-Metro confirming the existence of the pictures so it is highly probable that the end of her reign is imminent and that the disciplinary hearing is just but a mere formality.
The Trust chairperson Mrs Marry Chiwenga is said to be out of the country on business.
