India-based airline, Alhind Air, a rapidly growing airline company known for its exceptional service and expanding network, has announced the appointment of Reena Abdul Rahiman as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

This is coming as the airline is gearing up to begin operations by mid-2025, aiming to redefine regional connectivity while laying the foundation for global expansion.

According to Timeline Daily, Reena Abdul Rahiman, the newly appointed Chief Operating Officer and Airline Accountable Manager, announced that the airline will initially operate with two ATR aircraft, with plans to increase its fleet to seven ATRs within a year.

“Our vision is to connect over 40 airports across India before expanding to the Gulf, Middle East, and other international destinations,” she said. Alhind Air is in the final stages of onboarding its leadership and senior management team. Key appointments include Alexander Nwuba as Chief Financial Advisor, Mohammed Abid Hussain as Director of Engineering & Maintenance, A Jayakumar as Chief Security Officer, and Siddhartha Sarkar as General Manager of HR. Further appointments in critical areas such as flight operations, safety, ground handling, and quality assurance have been completed, with details to be announced soon.

The airline is actively recruiting trained pilots, cabin crew, engineers, and ground staff in phases to ensure readiness for its launch. Ms. Reena emphasised the meticulous planning involved in establishing safety protocols, boarding manuals, and quality systems, promising a best-in-class aviation experience. Promoted by the Alhind Group, the airline’s strategy centres on leveraging cutting-edge technology and delivering exceptional service standards. In-house teams will oversee fleet maintenance, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.

Alhind Air’s entry marks a significant step in Indian aviation, focusing on regional connectivity as a gateway to international operations. “Our startup efforts are progressing rapidly, and we will announce our official launch date soon. Alhind Air is committed to delivering excellence in regional and global aviation,” Ms. Reena stated.
