At the end of this month, Rosemary Mugambi will be retiring from her position as Regional Marketing Director of Serena Hotels Africa after serving the company in various capacities over the last 36 years, and will be handing over the baton to Maureen Okore.

I am pleased to introduce you to my successor, Maureen Okore, who takes over the marketing baton. She is well poised to fly the Serena flag high even as the Group moves to the next level maintaining its position as a key player in the hospitality industry.

Maureen is a 5-time award-winning marketing and communications expert who is extremely passionate about amplifying brands. Her experience of 12 years, cuts across multiple industries, having worked with advertising greats like Redhouse Group and WPP -Scan Group to bring brands to life.

She is highly experienced in managing local, regional and multinational brand portfolios and has successfully executed marketing campaigns in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, just to name a few.

Maureen is excited to extend her hospitality marketing experience to Serena Hotels Africa, a most Iconic brand in the region.
She believes in collaboration, partnerships and empathic leadership within and outside the organization for brand success.
