Africa: Plateau State Adopts Long Awaited Draft Tourism Policy

The long awaited Draft Tourism Policy for Plateau State Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Hospitality, has finally been adopted by the State Executive Council (Exco)

The Tourism Policy which was initiated by the Workaholic Commissioner, Hon. Mrs. Tamwakat Weli, was adopted 2oth Monday 2019.

The Hon. Commissioner in a remark appreciated and thanked the Governor for yet another achievement in his administration, especially in the Tourism Industry.

She also extended appreciation to all Members of the Tourism Drafting Committee headed by the Chairman, Mrs. Martha Azi (PS) of the Ministry, all Staff of MOTC/H & Tourism Cooperation, all Ministries, Tourism Stakeholders/Professionals, the Private Sector and the good People of Plateau State, especially those who contributed through observations/inputs towards the development of this Tourism Policy.

“Your unflinching support towards achieving this dream for our beloved State is highly appreciated and commendable.”

The Draft Tourism Policy was necessary to enable speedy growth and development of our numerous Tourism endowments/potentials for the socio-economic development of our dear Plateau State.
