This Wednesday, TAP launched its new route linking Lisbon and Conakry with three flights a week.

TAP flights depart from Lisbon at 19:15 on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, arriving in Conakry at 22:55, while flights depart from the capital of Guinea-Conakry at 23:45 on the same days, arriving in the Portuguese capital at 05:10 (local time) the following day.

Flights between Lisbon and Conakry cost from €299 euros (one-way), with all taxes included. TAP Miles&Go Clients can purchase one-way tickets to Conakry for 23,500 miles.

Conakry is one of West Africa’s biggest urban centres, where you should enjoy the city’s rather chaotic spirit. It is easy to find truly wonderful locations nearby. The Îles de Los – from the Portuguese “Ilhas dos Ídolos” (Islands of Idols) – are the easiest options for escaping the urban chaos. In an almost wild state, the islands offer landscapes that include deep green forests and beautiful beaches.

This new route means TAP’s network of destinations in Africa has grown to include a total of 17 African cities in 11 countries: Conakry (Guinea-Conakry), Luanda (Angola), Maputo (Mozambique), S. Tomé (S. Tomé e Príncipe), Bissau (Guinea-Bissau), Praia, Sal, São Vicente and Boa Vista (Cape Verde), Marrakesh, Casablanca, Tangier and Fez (Morocco), Dakar (Senegal), Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Accra (Ghana) and Lomé (Togo).

TAP is continuing its strong expansion and growth in every market in which it operates. In 2018, African routes operated by TAP experienced a significant increase in the number of passengers, transporting 1.1 million passengers, an increase of 116,000 compared with 2017, representing a year-on-year growth of 11.2%.
