CROSS RIVER NATIONAL PARK

The Cross River National Park (CRNP) decorated its newly promoted officers with their new ranks during an official ceremony.

The decoration marks a transition to higher responsibilities, requiring greater discipline, professionalism, and dedication to duty.

Speaking at the event, the Conservator of Parks CRNP; CP Joseph Assam Ntui, who congratulated the officers on their elevation, appreciated the Conservator General, National Park Service and his management team for their magnanimity in ensuring prompt and regular promotion of officers and men of the Service. He reminded them that promotion is a call for more dedication to duty and charge for greater responsibility.

‎The CP urged the officers to be more committed to duty and also ensure that their level of productivity reflects their new status and not otherwise. He reiterated that discipline is the bedrock of meaningful achievement and progress in the work place and also in the family. ‎The highpoint of the event was the decoration of the newly promoted personnel which was followed by the presentation of the award of “Most Hardworking Staff” to DCPI Benjamin Anthony Inyang, in recognition of his outstanding performance in coordinating the Central Mobile Squad, which ultimately checkmates the activities of Park offenders.

‎Also at the event, the CP, on behalf of the Service, handed over a cash donation to the spouse of a fallen hero; Late CPR Michael Usor Oyak, who died in the line of duty. The CP, while handing over the gift, commiserated with her and her entire family and admonished her to properly channel the donation to a meaningful venture that will be generating income for the family. ‎In appreciation and on behalf of the other decorated officers, DCP Eno Reuben Ekpenyong, expressed deep gratitude to God and the management of the National Park Service, for this opportunity and pledged to be more committed in actualizing the mandate of the Service.

‎The CP was flanked at the occasion by the Conservator of Parks, Chad Basin National Park, CP Innocent Asuquo (who was on ground to decorate his wife), and other management staff. Families and friends of the newly promoted officers were in attendance also to grace the occasion.
