Tourism: LICAF set to energize Livingstone

The Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA) has set the dates for the Livingstone International Cultural and Arts Festival (LICAF) for the 24th to 26th May, 2018.

According to ZTA, the festival program is as exciting as ever and the events range from public performance by various cultural groups, Street Carnivals and Networking Cocktails.

ZTA has partnered with Zambian Breweries to ensure that Livingstone activity is packed during the Freedom Day long weekend. This partnership the agency said will show attendees to watch the various cultural groups from all the 10 provinces of Zambia, indulge in Zambian traditional cuisines and celebrate the day of thunder which will be filled with fun activities.

It said the celebration will begin with an official opening cocktail on the evening of 24th May, this will be followed by a mesmerising experience on 25th May-the activities of the day include Traditional food tasting, cultural performances and the Day of Thunder. 26th May will be the final day of the festival, the cultural performances will be brought to a street near visitors as the dancers stroll through the streets of Livingstone in a dazzling 3km carnival procession through the city of Livingstone.

As if that is not enough, there will be a lunar rainbow at the Victoria Falls on Sunday 27th May, 2018 viewing will be from 20:24-00:18 hours at the Victoria Fall site.
