The Managing Partner of Partner Diamonds and Pearls Travels Limited, Wonuola Olatunde-Lamidi has won the coveted Africa Travel 100 Award which recognises exceptional women in the travel and tourism sector.

Wonuola Olatunde-Lamidi is an award-winning Tour Operator who followed her passion to form Diamonds and Pearls Travels with her husband David Olatunde Lamidi in October 2010.

Wonuola is a graduate of History and International Studies from Lagos State University. She graduated with a second class upper in 2004.

As A Travel Expert, Travel influencer and connoisseur, she creates memorable experiences for her customers and creates travel content and educates social media followers through the company’s Instagram page @dandptravels

Testimonials often describe her company’s service as detail oriented, affordable and accessible.

Wonuola can take a destination, market it and make it a sought-after holiday destination. This has led to her company opening up many destinations to Nigerians like Jordan, Indonesia, Philippines, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Bahrain and many more.

One of the aims of the brand is to demystify travel and make it affordable while creating fun and excitement through holiday packages to various destinations within and outside Nigeria.

Wonuola and her team have made travel accessible to many travellers through the ‘Travel Ajo’ Savings Schemes, where customers have the opportunity of paying in instalments for their holiday package till their travel date. This has made the dream of travelling come true for many. Diamonds and Pearls Travels is also one of the pioneers of group holiday packages where strangers travel together and eventually become friends, it is popularly known as “Travutrybe”.

Wonuola has used social media to change the way people see travel and has successfully created a travel community online. With innovations and strategic partnerships, the brand has been able to position itself as a sought-after Travel Company offering services to the young and old alike.

She is also passionate about entrepreneurs and she teaches, trains and mentors others that are aspiring to start a career in the travel industry. She does this through the Travupreneur Scheme which has trained over 250 entrepreneurs. Majority of them have started their Travel business and have recorded a good amount of success.

Her company Diamonds and Pearls Travels Limited is being taught as a case study in Lagos Business School (LBS) where the Niche Marketing Strategy of the company is showcased and taught as an indigenous Nigerian case study to business owners and managers.

In March 2018, she was listed as one of the top 100 most inspiring women in Nigeria by Leading Ladies Africa and YNaija.

In June 2018, Diamonds and Pearls Travels Limited received an award from The Pyne Awards as Travel Agency of the year 2018.

Her company also received an award as one of the top 100 Tour Operators in Africa presented in September 2018 by the Africa Travel Market organisers of the Akwaaba Travel Market.

In November 2018, she and her husband, David Olatunde Lamidi were listed as one of the Top 100 Tourism Personalities in Nigeria by Travellers Magazine.

The brand has also received 2 awards from Sun International, a top hotel brand in South Africa for 2 consecutive years as a TOP ACHIEVER for being one of the top sellers in West Africa.

In September 2021, Diamonds and Pearls Travels Limited received a recognition award as the Best Travel Agency of the Year 2021 at the Densa Awards.

Diamonds and Pearls Travels received the PACESETTER AWARD at the Aeroport Aviators’ Award in July 2021.

In March 2022, she was listed by The Pyne Awards Top 30 Women in Tourism in Nigeria for 2022.

In October 2022, Wonuola was featured as one of the Amazons of travel and tourism in Nigeria. She was listed alongside 6 other women who are veterans in the Nigerian travel space.

She has appeared on TV stations like Channels TV, CGTN, Arise TV, Silverbird TV and News Central. She has also featured on panels at the Social Media Week in 2017 and 2018, Lagos Business School (LBS) and many more. She has been interviewed live on Inspiration FM, Smooth FM etc.

She is a speaker who has appeared on many panels on Entrepreneurship, Travel and business. She is a Travel Influencer, Mentor, mother to two lovely children and a God-fearing woman. She is passionate about travel and tourism and she always gives it her all.
