Abia State Governor Alex Otti has commissioned the 55-room ORIS Signature Hotel on Okigwe Road, Aba, describing the new hospitality facility as a significant addition to the city’s growing investment and business landscape.
At the commissioning, Governor Otti commended the hotel’s Chief Executive Officer, Owelle Greg Okafor, for delivering the project within just two years and a few months, describing it as an example of what can be achieved when vision, enterprise and a conducive business environment come together.
“My understanding is that this hotel project started early in 2024, and two years plus a few months later, he has delivered it,” Otti said. “I understand we have over 55 rooms here, and I’m told it is already being sold out even before commissioning. So, it tells me that the opportunities here are endless.”
The Governor said Aba is witnessing a transformation, with businesses returning, property values rising and new investments emerging following improvements in infrastructure and the broader business environment. He called on investors who previously relocated from Abia, as well as prospective investors, to return and take advantage of the opportunities being created by the state government.
Governor Otti also pointed to the soon-to-be-completed Radisson Blu Enyimba Hotel as another major hospitality investment that will further strengthen Aba’s position as an economic and tourism hub. He congratulated Owelle Greg Okafor and the entire ORIS Signature Hotel team on the milestone, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to creating an environment where businesses and investments can thrive.
Earlier, the General Manager of ORIS Signature Hotel, Sharon Mani, described the facility as a 55-room hospitality establishment equipped with modern amenities. Mani said the company was encouraged to invest in Abia by the business environment created under the Otti administration and thanked the hotel’s chief executive for his vision.
