Enugu Air is set to commence international operations with direct flights from Enugu to Douala, Cameroon, from September 23, marking a new milestone for the state-owned airline and strengthening air connectivity between southeastern Nigeria and Central Africa.
The new route is expected to enhance business, tourism and people-to-people connections while providing travellers with a direct link between Enugu and one of Central Africa’s major commercial centres.
The development reflects Governor Peter Mbah’s vision of positioning Enugu as a destination that is open to business, tourism and global opportunities, with improved air connectivity playing a key role in expanding the state’s regional and international economic links.
