In a groundbreaking ceremony held today, Monday, July 31, Mr. Kabir Yusuf Mohammed, the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), laid the foundation for the ambitious development of an Aviation Cargo Village.
The AviaCargo Village will occupy a vast 2.7-hectare area along Ajao Road, Airport Road, Ikeja, and is envisioned to be a comprehensive hub catering to all cargo-related air transport matters upon its completion.

The ceremony saw the presence of esteemed FAAN officials, including Director of Airport Operations, Muktar Yusuf Muye, Director of Commercial and Business Development, Femi-Pearce Olumuyiwa, and Chairman of the FAAN Aviation Cargo Committee, Ikechi Uko, who jointly participated in the auspicious event.

The forthcoming Aviation Cargo Village represents a significant step forward in achieving the FAAN Aviation Cargo Committee’s mandate to bolster Nigeria’s AviaCargo ranking within Africa. Upon its completion, the Aviation Cargo Village will serve as a centralized, one-stop solution for cargo handling, encompassing key functions such as processing, packaging, and documentation. Additionally, the facility will be equipped with cutting-edge laboratory facilities, ensuring efficient and reliable cargo movement throughout Nigeria.
