The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, joined by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Bopo Oyekan-Ismaila, and other ministry directors, attended the Lagos Culture Week event held on December 1, 2025, at Juicy Lagos in Victoria Island.
This year’s Lagos Culture Week, themed “Empowering Local Creatives, Enriching Lagos Culture,” served as a vibrant cultural curtain-raiser for the Detty December yuletide season. The event featured an exciting blend of music, artistic showcases, indigenous expressions, and creative interactions designed to usher residents and visitors into a festive period that celebrates the depth and diversity of Lagos’ cultural identity.
The atmosphere at Juicy Lagos was electrifying, as guests immersed themselves in the sights, sounds, tastes, and artistic narratives that define Lagos as a global cultural destination. Government functionaries and other distinguished dignitaries also graced the event, reaffirming their support for the State’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the creative economy and enhance cultural tourism.
The Lagos Culture Week further underscored the State Government’s unwavering commitment to promoting cultural tourism, supporting local creative enterprises, and positioning Lagos as the preferred holiday and entertainment hub during the festive season
