Morocco’s Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport has won multiple awards in the 2023 Airport Council International awards and recognition.

The North African airport was recognized by the international body in multiple categories, winning the awards for the Best Airport by size and region, recognizing airports with the top 20% overall satisfaction score by size and region at departure.

The Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport also won the award for the airport with The Most Dedicated Staff, which recognizes the top 5% of airports for the efforts by key stakeholders and staff across different checkpoints.

It also won the award for the Easiest Airport Journey, which recognize the top 5% of airports for their performance on the travellers’ ease of going through the airport. Also the bagged the award for the Most Enjoyable Airport Award. It recognizes the top 5% of airports for their offerings (restaurants, shops, entertainment) and efforts to make the waiting time enjoyable and comfortable.

It also won the award for the Cleanest Airport in Africa. The award recognizes the top 5% of airports for their overall cleanliness, an element that is key to the satisfaction of passengers.

In 1951, the first infrastructure of the Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport was built on a former US Air Force base in the commune of Nouaceur.

Since then, the airport has undergone phenomenal development. Constantly expanding, it has modernized and adapted to international standards, until it was able to welcome the emblematic Airbus A380, which made its first landing on March 26, 2017.
