Air Peace has successfully operated a historic direct commercial flight between Lagos and Barbados, marking a major milestone in efforts to strengthen air connectivity between Africa and the Caribbean.
The inaugural Lagos–Barbados service departed with more than 284 passengers onboard, underscoring growing demand for direct travel links between the two regions. The airline described the operation as a bold step toward connecting people, businesses, cultures, and investment opportunities while eliminating the stress associated with multiple stopovers and transit visa challenges.

Air Peace said the new route reflects its commitment to expanding international connectivity for Nigerian and African travellers, while also supporting stronger diplomatic, economic, and tourism relations with Caribbean nations.
Industry stakeholders noted that the direct service is expected to significantly reduce travel time for passengers traveling between West Africa and the Caribbean, offering a more convenient alternative to traditional connecting routes through Europe or North America.
The airline further expressed optimism that the route would encourage increased tourism, trade, diaspora engagement, and cultural exchange between Africa and the Caribbean region.
The launch of the direct flight adds to Air Peace’s growing international network and reinforces its ambition to position itself as a leading carrier connecting Africa to key global destinations.
