House Crow Hits Mombasa

Mombasa’s tourism industry is losing an estimated $1.5 million (about Sh200 million) each year due to the growing presence of the invasive house crow, according to a recent assessment by the Mombasa Tourism Council (MTC).

This stems from disrupted guest experiences, compensation claims, and escalating pest-control expenses. Over 65% of beachfront hotels are reporting major complaints!

KAHC calls on stakeholders, government, and environmental experts to collaborate on sustainable solutions to protect our vibrant tourism economy.

Let’s safeguard Mombasa’s beaches for visitors and locals alike!
