In a bid to secure an Air Operators Certificate (AOC) for its newly acquired Airbus A330-800 NEOs aircraft, Uganda Airlines has taking one of the two A330 to Johannesburg, South Africa on a demo flight.
According to chimpreports.com, the flight is part of the airline’s efforts to secure an AOC for the two wide-body aircraft.

The demo is part of the 5-step process before securing the AOC from the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority for the two aircraft.
In the last phase, the airline has to “demonstrate all approved procedures pertaining to the specific aircraft type and certification”.
Uganda Airlines plans to place its new Airbuses on the planned long routes in the Middle East, China and Europe.
