ASKY Airlines has announced new travel requirements for passengers flying to selected African countries following heightened health surveillance measures linked to the evolving Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) situation.

In a notice issued to passengers, the Pan-African carrier said that, with immediate effect, all travellers heading to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone and Nigeria must complete an Electronic Health Declaration Form before boarding their flights.

According to the airline, the measure follows the decision by some countries to reinforce health monitoring procedures at all points of entry in response to concerns over the spread of Ebola.

Under the new guidelines, passengers travelling to the Democratic Republic of Congo are required to complete their declaration through the country’s health portal: https://pnhf.anicns.cd/voyageur, while those travelling to Sierra Leone: https://poep.npha.gov.sl and Nigeria: https://healthapp.ncdc.gov.ng must use their respective national health declaration platforms.

ASKY advised passengers to complete the online declaration between 24 and 72 hours before their scheduled departure, warning that travellers without a valid QR code generated after completing the process would be denied boarding.

The airline urged passengers to familiarize themselves with the new procedures as early as possible to avoid travel disruptions and ensure a smooth journey.

“For any additional information, please contact ASKY ticket offices or your usual travel agency,” the airline said in the notice.

The new requirement comes as several countries across Africa continue to strengthen disease surveillance and border health measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, including Ebola, through international travel.

ASKY Airlines, headquartered in Lomé, Togo, operates an extensive network across West and Central Africa and is one of the continent’s leading regional carriers. The airline said the new health declaration requirement is aimed at supporting public health efforts and ensuring the safety of passengers and destination countries.
