Chief Mrs. Mobisola Shobayo of Super International Travels Limited has been listed in the Top 100 Tourism Personalities in Nigeria. She also owns own the website, www.wesabitravel.com, an Online Travel booking Portal (OTP) for e-ticketing.
The listing of the Top 100 Tourism Personalities in Nigeria by Travellers Magazine is historic and an effort to cast in gold the faces of the people who are behind the great effort and deep sacrifices in promoting tourism in Nigeria despite the harsh conditions they operate within the tourism landscape in Nigeria. Travellers Magazine is the first travel magazine in West Africa, remaining consistent in its publications for over 22 years.
Top 100 Tourism Personalities in Nigeria list was set up to recognize individuals who have distinguished themselves as foremost and outstanding drivers in the travel and tourism industry in Nigeria; and through their efforts and or that of their organizations have impacted positively on the travel and tourism sector in Nigeria, stimulating and helping to achieve the country’s tourism goals and forging interactions among stakeholders and customers across the country.
This is the second edition. In 1999 Travellers Magazine published its first Compilation of the Nigerian Top 100 Tourism Club. Almost two decades later the list needs to be updated. Chief (Mrs.) Mobisola Shobayo has been honoured to have emerged on that list.
Chief (Mrs.) Mobisola Shobayo, with over three decades plus experience in the Travel Management, is the Managing Director (MD) and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Super International Travels Limited in 1992 till date.
She worked with Winston Travels and Tours Limited, Mavitos Travels Limited and First Class travels limited before setting up her own travel agency named as Super International Travels Limited till date. The company owned stocks of all Airlines in Europe, America, Far East, Africa and Middle East and also opens its own website, www.wesabitravel.com, to support e-commerce and transactions. It now has three offices, Ikeja and Matori in Lagos plus one in Abuja (FCT).
The Company served Major Government Agencies in Abuja, Port Harcourt and South West. It also service Oil and Non-Oil Companies.
She was trained by Lufthansa German Airlines and International Travel Consultants, certified by IATA in the late eighties. She has Diploma and Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Management Nigeria (NIM) with other professional courses and seminars at home and abroad.
Born in the late sixties, Chief Mrs. Shobayo had her primary school education at St. Philip School, Olorunsogo – Lagos and later attended Anglican Girls’ secondary school, Sango-Ota, Ogun State. She is a product of Rimax Institute of Business Education, Lagos and Dayrem Educational Centre also in Lagos.
Chief (Mrs) Mobisola Shobayo is in happy wedlock with Chief Adejare A. Shobayo and the marriage has been richly blessed with children and grandchildren.
She was recently conferred with the title of Erelu Elebute of Egba Land few months back.
