The Zambia Tourism Agency in partnership with the tourism private sector is set to hold its annual Zambia Travel Expo (ZATEX).
According to the agency, this year, ZATEX will be held from 27th to 28th April at the Mulungushi International Conference Center in Lusaka.
Zambia Travel Expo (ZATEX) is a tourism marketing event held annually and is attended by both local and international exhibitors, foreign buyers and travel media.
This presents an enormous opportunity for sales and marketing networking among the exhibitors, foreign buyers, travel media and general visitors.
The agency said ZATEX is poised for growth as the number of exhibitors at the event continue to grow since inception 2 years ago. It said this year the event has confirmed 45 exhibitors who include 7 foreign ones and more than 30 buyers have confirmed from France, United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal, Norway, India, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Israel, South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Spain and the Netherlands.
Last year, Zambia attracted numerous articles in foreign media on its various tourism products and services which were published by various travel media who attended the event. Further, several trips to Zambia were activated by foreign buyers who attended the event.
In its continued effort to showcase Zambia’s tourism, Zambia Tourism Agency will undertake educational trips for foreign buyers and travel media to enhance awareness of tourism products and services in the country.
