Angola and South African governments have taken steps to strengthen and re-enforce bilateral relations between both countries.

The Angolan minister of Hotels and Tourism, Angela Bragança, had a discussion with her South African counterpart, Derek Hanekou, in Durban, on ways of reinforcing the bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of training, infrastructure creation and construction of resorts.

According to report by angop.ao, Angela Bragança was in the city of Durban, and attended the just concluded Africa’s Travel Indaba, the most important tourism fair in Africa.

The minister invited her South African counterpart to visit Angola next year, within the framework of the Bitur-International Tourism Exchange of Angola.

In addition to the fair, the minister also attended a conference with seven other African ministers to address tourism in Africa, according to a press release from the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.

More than 80 countries are present at Africa’s Travel Indaba. In this edition it is celebrated the centenary of the birth of Nelson Mandela, former President of South Africa.

The Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Center hosted the exhibitions of gastronomy, culture, history, adventure tourism and the environment.
