The annual Nigeria Tourism Investors Forum and Exhibition (NTIFE), organized by the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), is to hold on November 21st to 22nd 2018 at Sheraton Hotel Abuja.

NTIFE is a tourism conference and exhibition event that creates a beneficial atmosphere for Nigerian State Governments, destination management organizations and tourist service providers to showcase their tourism potentials to investors.

Some of NTIFE core objectives are, to identify and promote local tourism potentials and destinations; to find a lasting solution to issues bedeviling the tourism industry; to induce creation of new tourism frontiers and strengthen better relationship between tourism investors, policy makers, industry practitioners and product/services providers; to create a platform where buyers meet sellers.

NTIFE is open to the general public, free of charge. The event has been successfully held every year, since June 2013, when FTAN partnered with Federal Capital Administration. Over the years, travel and tourism organizations and brands across Nigeria have variously participated in NTIFE, either as exhibitors or sponsors.

The theme of NTIFE 2018 is “Infrastructure and Security, the Panacea for Sustainable Tourism Development”.

In the first, second and third edition of NTIFE in 2013, 2014 and 2016 consecutively, investors/exhibitors were able to connect with participants who were interested in their products and services. Local manufacturers were connected to customers with hoteliers who are now their major customers. States like Bayelsa, Cross River and Ogun exchanged their success stories with other State representatives in the Event.

Airlines, both domestic and international, were richly on-ground to introduce new packages to their prospective customers. Several government agencies also had the opportunity to throw more lights on some of the government policies that is geared towards the development of tourism in Nigeria.

Participants in the previous events include tourism asset owners, hotel owners, resort owners, restaurants outlets, entertainment centres, tour operators, airlines, travel agents, tourism resorts operators, transport companies, cruise/boat/ferry operators, event managers, car hire operators, commercial banks, insurance companies, fund managers, private equity firms, mortgage institutions, telecommunication companies, federal ministries and parastatals, the 36 States of the Federation, and large number of the general public.

NTIFE 2018 Organizing Committee had since made public FTAN’s readiness to work with interested event partners and sponsors within and outside Nigeria.

The Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), is the apex body of all organized private sector Associations and Businesses in Nigeria’s tourism industry.

FTAN was set up in 1992 by the Federal Government of Nigeria with specific mandates including, to serve as the apex body that will provide leadership, direction and control for private sector travel, hospitality and allied services Associations, Organizations and Businesses.
