A 30-year-old father of four has reportedly died inside a container during a sex romp with a pregnant woman at Ijora area of Lagos State.
It was learnt that the incident occurred on Thursday at Whitesand community at Badia.
The deceased, identified simply as Akin aka AK, was said to have been found dead, while the pregnant woman was gasping forbreathe.
The woman, whose identity was yet to be ascertained, was said to have been pregnant for her husband, who later died.
It was learnt that sympathisers invited policemen from Orile Police Station to the scene while the woman was rushed to a private hospital, where she was recuperating at press time.
Akin was an agent with Betnaija Lotto, having two staking centres located at 24, Adunni Plaza and Plot 1, Badia Industrial Scheme, Ijora.
When Akin’s wife heard what happened to her husband, she was said to have rained curses on him.
She claimed that her late husband had abandoned her with children for three weeks without sending their feeding money.
Akin owned a three-bed room flat at Sango area of Ogun State, where he resided with his family before his untimely death.
He was also a merchant in orange business at Orile Iganmu fruit market. Akin was described as a jolly good fellow but a lover of the green bottles.
Akin’s body was later released to his family members. His remains were interred in his Sango-Ota residence.
The Coordinator of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) in the area, who gave his name as Mr. Orebintin, said the incident was uncovered when the sales boy, who used the container as his sales centre, resumed for work for the day and found that the container was locked from within.
Orebintan said all efforts to force the door of the container open proved abortive, until a cardboard attached to the roof of the container was removed.
The OPC coordinator also noted that the lovers had on a generator close to the container, suggesting that they inhaled fumes from the generator.
He said: “We are still in shock over how it happened because this is not the first time they have been sleeping inside the container.
“It was the sales boy who drew our attention to it when he wanted to open the container for the day’s sales that the door was locked from inside. We assisted him by forcing the cardboard attached to the roof of the container open. To our surprise, the man was fond stone dead.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bala Elkana, promised to get back to our correspondent. But was yet to do that at press time.
