Kenya’s cruise tourism drive gathered pace this week with the arrival of the Crystal Symphony at the Port of Mombasa, as June Chepkemei, Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB), joined port officials to receive the luxury vessel and its international passengers.
According to her, the vessel arrived with 511 passengers of mixed nationalities, majority from the United Kingdom, alongside 490 crew members.

By early morning, 264 passengers had already disembarked to experience Kenya through curated excursions to Tsavo National Park, Amboseli National Reserve by air, and guided Mombasa city tours. Cruise tourism continues to reinforce Kenya’s growing appeal as a preferred destination along the Indian Ocean circuit
